Workshop Instructors
Lois Feldman, Ph.D. has been in private practice working with children and adults since 1984. She has extensive experience working with graduate students on their dissertations and college students on work difficulties. She currently runs solution-oriented work/family balance groups at several corporations, including Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch. She welcomes helping students clarify their dilemmas and aspirations. Lois also runs speaking circles which help people clarify their ideas and become more comfortable speaking in front of groups.
Fred Stern, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who wrote his dissertation on why it takes students so long to complete their dissertations. He has extensive experience over the past ten years helping graduate students finish their dissertations through individual consultations and in groups both in his private practice and at the Graduate Center at City University, where he and Lois Feldman presented a series of eight two hour workshops on different aspects of dissertation writing. He has given numerous other presentations on the topic. Dr. Stern has been in private practice since 1986 working with adults and children.
